I’ve never tried this way of dyeing with plants or mushrooms, but I saw someone get a beautiful purple from this method, so I decided to give it a try!
Two large velvet-footed pax cut into pieces. Layered with white, handspun yarn and sprinkled with alum in between. Added warm water, shook, and topped off with water until full. Now it shall stand in my window for a few weeks while waiting for the dye to process itself!
