WIP’s!

I try to never have more than one project on the needles at one time, except for my little “travel-shawl” that I bring along if I need something easy when traveling. So in other words, I am not really one of those knitters who have a ton of WIP’s! At least that’s what I’ve been telling myself. And then I realized how wrong I was…

The other day I put aside a sweater I am working on for my bonus-son, because it’s a pretty boring knit to be honest. And I have been asked to test-knit a pair of mittens, which seemed a lot more interesting! So I decided to put away the boring knit (like I have done like 20 times before, to just do other stuff…) and cast on for the mittens. Less boring if I take a break and make something else, I figured!

And then I was sitting at my desk working, my mind wandering a bit to the mittens and sweater as I was stuck on a programming task. I thought to myself that for once, I had two active projects! That was a rarity. I think that only happened once or twice before. And then it hit me… I have more. Actually… Several more.

THE MITTENS
MY TRAVEL-SHAWL

A PAIR OF SOCKS
ANOTHER SHAWL
A KIDS CARDIGAN
YET ANOTHER SHAWL

Hmm… Guess I have joined the large group of “I am a knitter with lots of WIP’s!”. And they’ve just snuck up on me over time! Gonna have to either finish them, or frog some. Cause having all these unfinished projects stresses me out! I just dislike unfinished things, in all areas of my life. My preferred way is to finish one project, then move on to the next!

What’s your preference?
