In October we’re getting a puppy. We’ve decided to name him Gin, because my boyfriend and I both love gin! And there is some special history around it too. So when we decided to get a dog, it turned out we both had thought about naming it Gin! Gender neutral, short and cute.
I grew up with dogs, but haven’t had one now for the last 4.5 years. I miss it so much! So I’m kinda excited, naturally. Hence, I decided to make the puppy a blanket. A big, felted blanket that will let him know where he can lie down on the sofa, or when we go visit others. It’s robust, can be washed in the machine and is easy to bring along.
I used various wool yarns I had in my stash, and just started crocheting big squares. The blanket took me two weeks to make, but I did not work many hours on it per day. Quick and easy! And it turned out lovely. It has now been left with the breeder, so it will get the puppies scent before we bring him home.

Isn’t he just adorable? This little guy is a Welsh Cardigan Corgi, and we can’t wait to get him!
